Crocodile relocation

Wild Animal Encounters is assisting Butterfly Creek in Auckland to establish New Zealand’s first ever "Crocodile Conservation Park."

Over 20 Crocodiles and Alligators including some 5m long Saltwater Crocodiles are moving into the heart of Auckland, New Zealand.

Wild Animal Encounters has been contracted by Butterfly Creek to manage this transportation for them and train their staff in Crocodile Management.

The Crocodiles have been hand picked by Wild Animal Encounters for their temperament and personality before being chosen to make the move across the Tasman.

Wild Animal Encounters will be involved in every step of this exciting project - from their capture and transport from remote Crocodile farms in Darwin Australia, to when we carefully load them upon aircraft and fly with them across to Auckland.
